Take control of the atmosphere in your living room with Philips LivingAmbiance lighting

April 27, 2011

Milan, Italy – The living room is truly the hub of the home. Whether entertaining friends, relaxing with a loved one and a movie, or having fun with the family, it is where we look to create an atmosphere suitable for the different activities we indulge in. As we spend more time socializing at home, creating the right atmosphere has never been more important in getting the most out of the living area. Philips LivingAmbiance is designed to get the perfect atmosphere every time – whatever the activity – and lets you access a whole host of colors and shades of white to create the mood you want.

Lighting plays a crucial role in creating the right ambiance suited to you and your family’s favorite pastimes. For example, brightness may be too intense for a movie night, but not strong enough for games time. Philips LivingAmbiance allows you to adjust and store different levels of light at the simple touch of a button without any need for installation. LivingColors adds a whole new dimension of atmosphere creation to that. It offers an array of colors from intense to pastel whites that light up a corner of your home.

After the succesfull introduction of the LivingColors Gen2 and LivingColors Conic, the family will be extended with a little sister, the LivingColors Bloom. The LivingColors Bloom table lamp offers all the creative color-selection sensations as the award-winning LivingColors Conic, but at just half the size/depth. It is super-sleek in design and perfectly suited to locations where space is tight.

Create the ambiance you like and store up to three favorite light settings for easy recall. And at any time you can adapt either individual lights or a combination of lights with the easy to use remote control. Philips LivingAmbiance integrates multiple luminaires that allow you to personalize your room’s ambience for special occasions using endless colors. The range includes Philips’s LivingAmbiance luminaires, LivingColors Conic, the new LivingColors Bloom, LivingColors Generation 2 luminaires in a system that is simple to set up and use. And to include your favourite luminaire into this new way of atmosphere creation, Philips offers a special LivingWhites plug or alternatively a special LivingWhites bulb, that allows you to use existing luminaires with the same remote control. You can transform the color of your room at the touch of the remote control button, allowing you to experiment with different lights to suit the mood and occasion. Lighting your home has never been so simple, or filled with so much color.

In addition, LivingAmbiance doesn’t require any re-wiring or dimmer switches, meaning you don’t need to reconfigure your home or worry about installation costs – maximum effect for minimum effort.

With the latest extension to the LivingAmbiance range, Philips gives you even more freedom to see what light can do in your living, adapting the light according to how you and your family play, and truly enhancing their lives with light.
