Reaffirming Philips' pride in being an official sponsor of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, the company is transforming the outside of its global headquarters in Amsterdam into a massive 800 square meter screen for the weeks before and after the Official Draw on December 9.
The screen, 31 meters high and 25 meters wide, will cover the outside of the building from the 4th to the 12th floor and will be visible to more than 60,000 travelers a day at a nearby railway, bus and metro station. During daylight hours it will show a white box with the company name and its 'sense and simplicity' brand promise. Throughout the night until daybreak, it will display a series of giant images proclaiming our sponsorship of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, and showcasing our new Consumer Electronics advertising campaign - 'Your FIFA World Cup™ starts here' - as well as reminding viewers that the competition will be viewable on our Philips Cineos Flat TVs with Ambilight.
