Solid performer who delivers Solid performer who delivers. The Philips build quality is there. Nice & sleek looking. 39inch is just nice for my HDB living room. Any bigger & it'd be too extravagant & similar to watching a tennis match & tiring (ie, eyeballs flying left & right). Controller & menu is easy & direct. Nothing too complicated & 3D is easy to use. The TV's edge & stand lose out to the design & creativity of some of the other brands out there. Not to say it's ugly but that its design is subtle & do not scream for attention. It's rated 3 energy ticks, if you'd like to know. Wish it was four or more though. 9 May 2014
Average Set - nothing great Purchased this set from Courts Tampines. The salesman said that there is a Free Item which is available from the local agent. Got the FOC Item - ANDROID MEDIA BOX. The agents were very nice & courteous people, even taking my anger on them comfortably & never losing their cool, always smiling with me. Piece of warning: You better ensure that you have HDMI cables with 1080 capability & not the old type. I had to buy 2 new cables as my HDMI cables were all the old type. Even though my laptop could be connected & seen on the CTV, the Android media hub did not have a display on the screen. Finally after changing to a new cable, everything works fine. Waht the set lacks :- I have multiple devices to connect to the CTV using the traditional AV input but the CTV DOES not have any inputs for AV. Only 2 HDMI with 1 USB & 1 YpB input. I need to connect my DVD recorder (which does not have HDMI out) using the AV input plus I also have VCR to connect as well. The sound of ANY LCD/LED is not great. You need to connect to external speaker system or home theater system. I am using an amplifier with 5.1 channel surround set but there is NO HDMI OUT connection. How do I connect my CTV to my amplifier? If I have to connect ALL of my appliances to the CTV, then I don't have enough input connections. Not recommended for those who have multiple items to connect to the CTV. Otherwise, the display is average and the sound quality is not great. In fact, below par in comparison to other brands available in the market 17 February 2014
Sleek and great properties So far so good, nice design and big screen. A androidhub for internet access is given free to me as well but I need to go redeem at ubi. nice deal! 19 January 2014

Imagine breathtakingly crisp detail paired with high brightness, incredible contrast, sharp motion definition, realistic colors and a true to life picture—as well as low power consumption. Well, look no further. Full HD LED delivers more detail than standard HDTVs. And more detail in the image means a more intense viewing experience for you.

Pixel Plus HD for better details and clarity

Our advanced digital picture processing technology increases the number of lines and the number of pixels. The result delivers razor sharp pictures with incredible detail and depth, every time and from any source.

Pixel Plus HD

150Hz Perfect Motion Rate (PMR) for clear motion sharpness

For picture movement that looks precise, smooth and natural, Philips created PMR—our standard for measuring moving image sharpness. Perfect Motion Rate is the combined result of our unique video processing, number of frames per second and refresh rate of each frame, perfection in dimming capabilities, and backlighting technology. A higher PMR number contributes to higher contrast and better motion clarity—which means a superior image for you.

* Parents should monitor their children during 3D viewing and ensure they do not experience any discomfort as mentioned above. Watching 3D is not recommended for children under 6 years of age as their visual system is not fully developed yet.
