Philips Avance Collection Airfryer XL HD9240/90 Low fat fryer Multicooker 1.2kg Black with Rapid Air technology is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 72.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from dirty air-fryer and bad reliability After use for 3 months, the air-fryer is very dirty for inner parts likes heating coil, inner heating pan and upper heating inner wall. I had tried to clean it (more than 2 hours) with small toothbrush & small clothes with adding kitchen soda & lemon juice but useless. The design is bad for maintenance. This product is good for french fries only. It is not suitable for prawn or fish and those meat with less fat, you will find the food is too dry after cook with air fryer. I used this product for 2y2m only and suddenly haywire especially my house MCB tripped. After sent in for diagnosis, Philips said all parts needs to be replaced including PCBA, display, heating element moreover top chassis needs to be replaced too. Thus, product reliability is bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in one kitchen equipment, perfect for my needs So far, I've roasted, baked, grilled and fried (you can do more than just one method of cooking at the same time!) with my new airfryer. Roasted meats turn out succulent on the inside with crispy skin. My cakes had a crispy crust and moist texture inside, just the way i like them. Grilled seafood wrapped in baking paper was juicy and the flavours were all well infused. Fried food tastes the same with much much less oil. It takes trial and error to get the right combination of time and temperature because the airfryer cooks much faster than conventional oven or kitchen equipment but when I got the hang of it, I've been making more adventurous dishes on my own.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loving it but frustrating for now! Just bought the 1.2kg Philip Airfryer 1wk ago and has not able to fry as expectation as the fryer keeps on and off since day 1 till now. Frustration and annoying when the fryer power starts to on and off with beeping sound altho step by step instructions have been followed repeating many times. Please I really need practical guidance on this machine as I cant wait to see the results with those positive comments.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love and hate this Airfryer No doubt, this product makes life convenient to prepare fried food. However, after 4 months of usage, I am start seeing the lid door is not able to close tightly. Something seems to be blocking the sliding mechanism. I got to rattle the food tray to get the door close properly. It's frustrating. It seems the design has some flaw due to excess heat over time. I won't recommend this to friends and families.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is a revolution The Philips XL Airfryer is really something that has become a revolution and it is the next big thing to hit all kitchens. What i love the most is that it has so many things that can be done with it and it is really very idiot proof. Just a few minutes to learn about it and that is all! What i love most is that the food still tastes as yummy as it typically would.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy to use and clean up! It's really surprisingly easy and convenient to use this airfryer, and I'm impressed that my dishes still taste so good even without any oil being used. Will definitely recommend my friends to get this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty soon after warranty expire, not recommeded I own a older version of Philip air fryer (the very first model) and it’s working perfectly fine than this new model which is supposedly to be better but it’s not. It break down soon after warranty expires and its not being used often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from healthier food Can fry sliced potatoes, tofu and mushrooms without using too much oil (I only brushed the tray with oil to prevent food from sticking). Food comes out crispy, but a bit dry. Easy to use, the buttons are intuitive. Cleaning is ok.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performance is better but I prefer the previous model design Overall performance is better than the 1st model I have been using more than 5 years. I prefer the basket and bottom tray attached together (like the 1st model) where the oil will not drip everywhere when I transfer the food from basket onto the plate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product has a mind of its own I had done a DOA 2 times for this product, each with the same problem. The first defective unit was it can be turned on and off by itself. The second defective unit was able to adjust the temperature and time by itself intermittently when i was using it. And for the third time, the problem appears again. So u have to keep watch over it and adjust back to the temperature and time you wanted. I will be bringing in the unit to Philips service centre to repair this when i am available.
