Why does the red light of my Philips PowerPro Ultimate Vacuum flash?

It is normal for the red light of the PowerPro Ultimate vacuum to flash
When the red LED light lights up in your PowerPro Ultimate Vacuum, it indicates that it successfully received a signal from your Philips Vacuum remote control.
As shown in the following image, this red LED light is located on the top handle, just above the dust container.
