If your Philips shaver is not turning on, try our simple troubleshooting advice to solve this issue.
Recharge the shaver
It is possible that the battery of your Philips shaver is drained. We advise you to charge the shaver fully and then try turning it on again.
Connected to the mains
If you are using a wet-and-dry shaver, the shaver will not work if it is connected to a power outlet. This is for your own safety, because electricity and water are a hazardous combination. Try unplugging your shaver from the main power supply and then switching it on.
Travel lock activated
Some Philips shavers have a “travel lock” function. If this is activated, the shaver will not turn on. Press the on/off button for 3–5 seconds to deactivate the travel lock and then try turning on the shaver.
It is possible that the shaving unit of your shaver is soiled or damaged to such an extent that the motor cannot run. Clean the shaving unit thoroughly. If it still does not work, look for a replacement.
Note: Some shavers will display an exclamation mark when cleaning or replacement is required.
Your Philips shaver will not turn on unless it is assembled properly. Make sure that all of the attachments are in place.
