Royal Philips Electronics was founded in 1891 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. In 1951, Philips Electronics Singapore was set up. With a workforce of about 2,800, Philips is one of the pioneer investors in Singapore and has been in the country for 60 years.

Singapore Learning Center

The Singapore Learning Center is Philips Healthcare’s first and largest dedicated facility for advanced medical equipment training in Asia Pacific. Occupying 37,000 sq ft, the Euro 12 million facility features the company’s latest sophisticated medical diagnostics equipment, including cardio vascular X-ray, general X-ray, computer tomography (CT) scanner, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound systems and Patient Monitoring.

Philips Lumileds

In November 2007, Philips Lumileds officially opened a new production facility in Singapore. This LUXEON® high power LED production facility is its first outside of Silicon Valley and will extend Philips Lighting’s LED leadership while accelerating the growth of the solid state lighting industry.
