Philips enters local manufacturing partnerships to advance healthcare access in Indonesia


Collaborations with PT PHC Indonesia and PT Graha Teknomedika will support local production of advanced ultrasound and hospital patient monitoring solutions for Indonesia

Jakarta, Indonesia, January 26, 2026 – Philips a global leader in health technology, today announced partnerships with local medical device manufacturers PT PHC Indonesia (formerly Panasonic Healthcare Indonesia), a subsidiary of the Gobel Group, and PT Graha Teknomedika to produce advanced ultrasound systems and patient monitors in Indonesia to meet domestic demand. This initiative is designed to comply with the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) requirements while strengthening the capabilities of the national medical device industry. The partnerships expand the company’s already significant presence in the country, where it currently employs more than 3,900 people across 12 cities, including at its manufacturing facility in Batam.


This local-for-local partnership combines Philips’ global expertise in health technology with local manufacturing capabilities to support technology and knowledge transfer, as well as the development of local talent. By producing health technology domestically, Philips aims to expand access to high-quality healthcare services, enabling more patients across Indonesia to receive better care.

Expanding access to ultrasound care

 

Through its partnership with PT PHC Indonesia, Philips will explore the production of ultrasound systems to support the needs of hospitals and clinics across Indonesia, in line with the growing demand for medical imaging services.


Philips’ ultrasound solutions deliver high-resolution, real-time imaging for applications including general imaging, cardiology, and women’s health. AI-enabled features help clinicians work more efficiently and support consistent clinical outcomes.

Supporting hospital care with patient monitoring

 

Philips is partnering with PT Graha Teknomedika to locally produce hospital patient monitoring systems, supporting growing demand in hospital care and the need to manage complex and critically ill patients.


Philips’ patient monitoring solutions can track vital signs such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. Equipped with smart alarms, advanced clinical decision-support technology, and integrated analytics capabilities, these patient monitors help healthcare professionals proactively detect early changes in a patient’s condition with accuracy. With connectivity across hospital systems, the solutions support continuous patient surveillance, timely clinical decisions, and improved clinical outcomes.
