Weather Clock Radio

I have had this radio for over 17 years and it’s great. The radio has become a little temperamental but the indoor and outdoor door temperature are the real wins.

I got this item about 6 years ago to replace a more expensive (but no longer working device manufactured by a well known competitor). I'm glad to report that my AJ260/05 is still going strong. Great battery life, excellent display and highly accurate too. What a bargain this was. I'm happy to recommend this product from Philips - although from their perspective, I guess they would prefer to see them being replaced by consumers a little more often!

After 30 years plus I would not hesitate buying this Philips product again. I’ve had this by my bed in several homes ind various parts of my country for close to 4 decades and it’s worked perfectly in every situation. I particularly like the Atomic clock function - keeps perfect time. And the weather forecaster with in/out humidity and temperature work very well.

This clock radio is EXCELLENT! I love the color indicator, I love the indoor/outdoor temperature, I love the date and time (which includes an atomic clock), and I love the FM radio! The backlight, the Gentle Wake feature, and the hygrometer are nice too. I also like the clear frame, which makes it look like one of those digital picture frames. In conclusion, well done, Philips!

Works really well. Great display, very visible. The light at the top corner is FAR TOO BRIGHT. Kept us awake. I painted over it with a dab of black paint which completely concealed it - great from then on. Shame that outside temp and inside temp can't be displayed together - silly design omission. Setting alarm quite difficult as one can't easily discern which buttons are for setting the time up or down. I glued a tiny knob on each and can now set the alarm in the dark. This is a design fault with pretty much all digital alarm clocks. Obviously the designers never use them.

Not good for bedside as in the dark you can only see the time when the backlight is on. The backlight is too bright to sleep beside. Weather feature is awesome and the weather predictor is entertainingly accurate. I use it as a living room clock and I really enjoy the outisde temperature feature.
