Speech Tempo technology lets you alter the playback speed of an audio signal without affecting its original pitch. In particular, you can experience different conversation environments - from leisurely chat to urgent discussion - by controlling the speed of language learning content. By pressing the Speech Tempo key you can select a faster or slower speed of speech from the original learning material without any distortion in comprehension. Choose from five preset speeds: Slow II, Slow I, Normal, Fast I, Fast II to simulate how native speakers would converse in different environments.

Language Learning functions are special functions - Repeat, Follow and Compare - that let you use your audio set as a laboratory for language learning. The functions work with tape, CDs or MP3-CDs. Selecting the 'Repeat' function lets you listen repeatedly to selected content; 'Follow' lets you listen and then recite, and 'Compare' lets you compare your recitation to the original content.

Bass Reflex Speaker System delivers a deep bass experience from a compact loudspeaker box system. It differs from a conventional loudspeaker box system in the addition of a bass pipe that is acoustically aligned to the woofer to optimize the low frequency roll-off of the system. The result is deeper controlled bass and lower distortion. The system works by resonating the air mass in the bass pipe to vibrate like a conventional woofer. Combined with the response of the woofer, the system extends the overall low frequency sounds to create a whole new dimension of deep bass.
