I was skeptical at first but this works great. I was paying the barber to trim my beard. But this works so great I do not need the barber to do it.

It has what you want in attachment very easy to apply, also it not only do side burn it, you can do your beard and mustache too. Love It!!!

Cuts as close as my straight razor. Mustache trimmer cuts nice without pulling and hair trimmer does also.This is by far the best Norelco shaver of the three I have owned Just wish Norelco reads these and adds a nose trimmer to the line and it would be awesome.

I have experienced exactly the same problem with the comb attachment as most of the other reviewers of this product. The comb breaks very easily and it is a disgrace that in spite of all these reviews, Philips have not yet made their 'comb' available as an accessory that can be purchased separately. Their repeated condescending responses to the reviews is also intensely irritating. Do you not get the message Philips ? - sell the comb as an individual spare part.

After reading some of the reviews on here I decided to write my own as I feel the other reviews don't do justice to this product. I bought my Philips rq1195/17 in 2013 so that's 5years of constant usage and not once did the comb break or did I have any issues with it and still have till this day. Not only I trim my beard and I also remove the comb to trim my sideburns. Unless you really start pulling it off really hard/aggressively or drop it on the ground I can't quiet figure out how can it break as I've used it for 5years constantly and never had issues with it

This product does the job that it was intended to do. Adjustable closeness. Shipping time was quick. My only complaint is that it is almost all plastic. Not very sturdy. I was sitting down when it slipped out of my hands. It didn't even drop 12 inches because I caught it with my other hand. But it completely fell apart into many pieces. All the king's horses and all the king's men, couldn't put this trimmer together again.

Specially the shave part is very excellent and it is commendable

I keep my mustache trimmed with it ever few days. It also allows trimming hair around the ears between haircuts. Instead of carrying a trimmer and my shaver one device handles it all. A small carrying pouch would be nice. However careful opening of the clear plastic packaging(was part of first one I bought, but not the second purchased) has allowed me to use it to protect and carry the trimmer when I travel. The negative is the flimsy beard comb that you have to remove to trim right to the skin on the edges of beard or sideburns. After about 7 months of use one of the side attachment arms broke off making it useless as that shoe controls the length of hair cut. I have had to buy another one of the units so I can use the beard comb on it to style my beard and trim sideburns.
