    What is "Pixel"?

    Published on 2017-01-17

The “Pixel” stands for Picture Element. It is a single point on the screen. Graphic monitors divide the display screen into thousands (or sometimes millions) of pixels, arranged in rows and columns. Color monitors have pixels composed of three dots - red, green and blue. They are called subpixels. For example, if the resolution of your LCD TV is 1366x768, it has 1366x768x3 pixels, totally have 3147264 pixels on it. The number of pixels has great impact on quality of the image.
