How to use the “Keep Warm” function of my Philips Rice Cooker?

    Published on 21 January 2025

The “Keep Warm” function, of your Philips Rice Cooker, is automatically activated after a cooking program is completed. Find more information and tips in the article below.

    Keep Warm function Tips

    • After serving, if there is leftover rice, keep the lid closed and avoid frequent stirring until the next use. Rice can vary due to changes in environmental conditions such as room temperature and humidity. Keeping the lid closed helps preserve the rice's quality by maintaining a consistent temperature inside the pot. This helps maintain the rice’s warmth and freshness.
    • Hygiene Matters: Keep rice scoop and utensils clean when handling food to prevent contamination. Do not leave the rice scoop in the pot. This may cause bad odors.
    • Personal Hygiene: Wash hands before handling food.
    • Clean the top lid, top lid seal ring, inner pot and steam vent, and dry them with a clean cloth every time you cook. Also wipe off water drops in the steam pathway every time.
    • Do not use “Keep Warm” mode with cold rice. This may cause bad odors.
    • Do not switch off “Keep Warm” mode while rice is in the pot. This may cause bad odors.
    • When in doubt, do not eat: If you are unsure about food safety, avoid eating it—especially for pregnant women, babies, children, elderly, or people with weakened immune systems.
