I'm very happy with the TV. I love the Ambilight tech, I thought I would hate it, but it really DOES add ambience. The build is quality. It connects with everything I needed it to and has a tonne of options I can change (backend) which I like. The software is NOT laggy (as others have stated). I think they have done an update. I have not yet been able to get Netflix 4K on the TV (only 1080p) but am unsure if this is due to the H.265 codec not being supported, or if it's my internet. Rated good as at times, I've seen vertical banding, but only when looking for it.

I purchased this Television as a birthday present for myself and overall I am really quite pleased with the overall picture quality. Whilst I do like the menu system, I do find it quite slow and the general Smart TV type solutions are very disappointing with an almost complete lack of application functionality and a great sounding option in 'Cloud TV' which is not available in Australia and still says 'Coming Soon' 4.5 Months later. Love the Ambilight component and the overall aesthetic look. But again if you are looking for Smart TV capability, the Phillips offering is severely lacking at the moment.

Very bad vertical banding, won't connect to wifi, second panel and same issues

As much as this tv has beautiful image and colors it has the worse smart tv features you will find in the market today. Extremely slow response to remote control, freezes the firmware 9 out 10 times I use it. Almos every single day I have to reconnect the network and spend 5 min setting up the apps and waiting for the system to load before watching. The menus are terribly hidden and all features have a weird path to be found. A total waste of time and money. I regret so much for not having a Samsung tv instead. Definitely my last Philipps tv. Don't fool yourself with the nice colors and contrast you see on the tv when displayed in the store. Play a little bit with the remote and smart tv functions before and you will stay away from this.

Broken down multiple time when it has had very little use , very slow to any commands

If you’re planning to use this TV as a computer monitor (with a different speaker system connected to your computer), all well and good. Picture is fine, and the interface is easy to use. However, the sound quality of this TV is AWFUL!! None of the preset options are suitable, and turning the bass all the way up, and the treble all the way down is no help either, it STILL sounds like a transistor radio. Basically no bass or middle range, whatsoever. What’s worse is the apparent lack of ability to plug in EXTERNAL speakers. Every single port on the back of it is IN, not OUT.

Nothing works picture quality is crap no apps work misrepresenting the functions of the tv Freeview doesn’t work

I was looking for a smart TV that would fill a Large Room and that would be a appreciated piece of furnishing - yes it looks great..no it will not connect to the internet - after spending a few hundred $$ on a (private) IT expert to check my settings and after wasting 12 hrs 1.5 spent on the help line and then being cut off I was ready to throw it out - why is it so hard!!!! as yet I have not rectified the problem - I just would like to be able to watch Netflix without having to reconnect again and again - also my internet is fine everything else connects immediately - the sound is also poor -hopefully Phillips to be able to send out a technician -

I bought this TV because of the 4K panel. However, it doesn't have the H.265 codec which allows for streaming of 4K services (e.g. Netflix). The panel / picture is good, except when there is a white background where you can see vertical lines down the panel. The worst part of this panel is the software. The menus are SO slow and navigating around is terrible. Freeview Plus works, but only sometimes. Again it is SO slow to load and by the time you try and run a catchup program, sometimes you get sound but no picture, or you get picture and no sound, so there is a back and forth between the menus to get it to work. Pretty disappointed with the overall experience with this TV.
