2000 seriesDVD player

As someone who has been searching for a DVD player for sometime I was, and still am, delighted to come across this good and compact one in my local Morrisons supermarket. I thought I was going to have to purchase a DVD/video recorder on eBay, so to find this one was a real bonus. It's very efficient, easy to use and, so far, has given me excellent service. I thoroughly recommend it.

I don't have any words to say about this DVD player its perfect for all formats

This is an excellent DVD player. But it has been discontinued. I hope Philips has replaced their Series 2000 with a superior model. Although, I can't imagine how this DVD player could be improved. Maybe by making a similar DVD player that is MP-3 & MP-4 compatible. Which the Philips DVD Player, Series 2000 is not.

I brought this DVD because my other one went on the blink. This is the 1ST time that I have brought any PHILIPS product of any kind.

i throughly recommend this dvd player. i bought this thru fingerhut to replace my old magavox dvd player which had taken a dump. so easy to set up, im geeky enough, but this took only about 5-10 mins to set up and i was happily watching my mash dvds again. very sleek design and slim, space saving, a plus! video display very excellent considering i have an tv that is 8 yrs old. remote is smaller than my old dvd player remote but way mroe simpler to operate. highly recommend, kudos guys!!!!!!

brilliant,I have bought Philips products before ie 3 TV's and dvd player before.

Good And Nice ! Anytime I Have My Philips And Condition So Good

It doesnt do what it says in terms of it stating that old discs that are smudgy and/or scratched can still play start to finish. However, it did not work when i played my disc and instead stopped half way through. The AV to SCART cable that was provided in the box was not long enough to be connected to a wall mounted TV.

"the ability to play virtually any disc!" Better read the description closely. Plays video from AVI files, HOWEVER, you get NO SOUND with MP3 - screen message "Audio Codec not supported". Useless for it's intended purpose. Xvid AVI was the key thing I had like about Phillips, now gone.
