900 W FC6130/01

My Philips MiniVac 2-in-1 vacuum's suction power is low

If your Philips MiniVac 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner's suction power is low, there might be an easy solution. Discover how to improve its performance.

Possible causes

  1. The dust compartment is full
  2. The filter is clogged
  3. The nozzle or other accessories are clogged

Cause 1: The dust compartment is full

Press the nozzle release button to remove the detachable nozzle. Then shake the contents of the dust compartment into a dustbin.

For a thorough clean, press the dust compartment release button to remove the dust compartment. Take out the filter unit and empty the dust compartment.

Cause 2: The filter is clogged

To maintain optimal suction performance, we advise you to clean the filters every 2 to 4 weeks.

Remove the dust compartment and take the filter unit out of the dust compartment. Remove the outer filter.

Clean the inner filter and the outer filter with the cleaning brush. If the filter is really dirty, you can clean the filter in cold or lukewarm water. The filters are not dishwasher-proof. Never put the filter unit back when the filters are still wet! This will damage your appliance.

Cause 3: The nozzle or other accessories are clogged

To clean the detachable nozzle, press the nozzle release button to remove the detachable nozzle from the appliance.

The nozzle can be cleaned in warm water with some washing-up liquid. The nozzle and other accessories are not dishwasher-proof. Make sure the nozzle is dry before you reattach it to the appliance. Also check the other accessories that come with the vacuum cleaner and make sure they are not clogged.
