The display of my Philips SmartPro Active shows an error

    Published on 2021-07-04

Several error codes may appear on the display of your Philips SmartPro Active. Each error code has a different cause and a different solution. Please find out below how to simply solve this yourself.

If one or both wheels are stuck, the error code E1 appears on the display of your Philips SmartPro Active. To solve this, set the On/Off switch to ‘Off ’. Remove the fluff, hair, thread or wire that is caught around the wheel suspension.

If one or both side brushes are stuck, the error code E1 appears on the display. In this case, clean the side brushes.

If the top cover of the device is not present or is not closed properly, the error code E2 appears on the display. In this case, your Philips SmartPro Active does not work. Place the top cover on the device properly.

When the bumper of your Philips SmartPro Active is stuck, the error code E3 appears on the display. Press the On/Off button to turn off the device. Following that, lift the device so that its bumper comes out.

If your Philips SmartPro Active was lifted while it was cleaning, the error code E4 appears on the display. In this case, press the On/Off button to turn off the device. Then, press the On/Off button again to make the device resume cleaning normally.

If your Philips SmartPro Active is cleaning a dark or black surface, this may trigger the drop-off sensors. This causes the device to move in an unusual pattern. To solve this, press the On/Off button and then move the device to a lighter coloured piece of the floor. If the problem continues to occur on lighter coloured floors, contact us for further assistance.

The device also shows the error code E5 on the display, if it is cleaning a floor that reflects sunlight quite strongly. This triggers the drop-off sensors and causes your Philips SmartPro Active to move in an unusual pattern. In this case, close the curtains to block sunlight from entering the room.

If the error code E6 appears on the display of your Philips SmartPro Active, the power switch is set to ‘Off ’ while the device is on the docking station. Set the power switch to ‘On’.

If the solutions provided do not help to solve your problem, please contact us.
