How to record from digital channels with Philips DVDR?

Since you cannot install digital channels on the tuner of the DVD recorder you need an external device (a Set Top Box, STB) with an integrated digital tuner to record digital channels.

1. Connect a SCART cable from the TO TV SCART connection of the STB to the EXT 2 SCART socket of the DVD recorder.
2. Switch the STB to the channel you want to record from.
3. Select EXT 2 of the DVD recorder as the recording source and record.

It is also possible to make timer recordings. Verify you set a timer on the STB as well.
