How do I sterilize my Philips Avent pacifier?

    Published on 01 February 2024
You can sterilize an Avent pacifier by boiling it in water or using a microwave. Find out below how to do so.

    Sterilize by boiling in water.

You can sterilize any pacifier by boiling it in water for five minutes.

Sterilize in a microwave (only ultra soft and ultra air pacifiers).

You can sterilize Avent ultra soft and ultra air pacifiers in a microwave by using the carry case that comes with the pacifier.
    Follow the instructions below:
    1. Rinse the pacifiers under cold tap water. Add 25 ml/0.9 fl. oz. of water to the carry case.
    2. Put the pacifiers in the case and close the lid.
    3. Put the case in the microwave. Turn the microwave on for three minutes at 700 W – 1000 W.
    4. Take the case out of the microwave and let it cool down for five minutes.
    5. Pour the water out of the case.
Other Avent pacifiers than ultra soft and ultra air (for example, Classic or Freeflow) cannot be sterilized in the carry case. The Classic and Freeflow pacifiers may get damaged if sterilized in the case.
