If your Philips Steam Iron is not removing wrinkles either horizontally or vertically, find out how to solve this in the following lines.
The temperature is set too low
For irons with a temperature dial, please set the temperature according to the fabric that you are ironing. You can use the following table as a reference.
Note: For some fabrics such as silk, wool, cotton and linen, steam would be needed to remove creases more efficiently.
Steam is not used
For steam generators: Press and hold the steam button/trigger below the handle of your Philips Steam Generator continuously to generate steam. When you release the button, your iron will stop steaming. For steam irons: You can get more steam by using a shot of steam (a boost of steam) to help remove tough wrinkles. Press the steam boost trigger of your iron to increase the steam rate.

Incorrect vertical ironing
When you are ironing vertically, press the iron against the garment, ensure the soleplate is in direct contact with the garment and pull the sides of the garment with your other hand to stretch it to achieve optimal ironing results
