The “iron ready light” will blink when the iron is heating up. It will turn steady to indicate that the iron is ready for use.
For irons with the Auto Shut Off (ASO) feature, the "iron ready light" will start blinking when:
While in ASO state, the iron will stop heating up and start to cool down.
When the iron is moved or put in motion, the "iron ready light" will start to breathe or remain steady ON (model dependent), indicating it is heating up again.
Once the iron ready light stops blinking and remains steady ON / turns OFF (model dependent), the soleplate is heated, and the iron is ready to be used.
If your iron has a dedicated Auto Shut Off light, the "iron ready light" will not be lit when the iron enters the ASO state. The above lighting behaviour still applies.
