    My Philips Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is not turning on

    If your Philips Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is not turning on, read our article below for possible causes and solutions.
    The battery is empty
    To charge the battery, connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the handheld (with the battery installed) directly to the power plug of the adapter.
     
    The appliance has an internal malfunction
    When your appliance has an internal malfunction, the buttons will not respond, and the screen will remain blank. You can try the following steps to fix the issue:
    1. Please connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the handheld directly to the adapter. If you see an error code (see image) on the display, you can find its meaning in the knowledge article “My Philips 8000 Series Cordless Vacuum Cleaner shows an error code” or “My Philips 7000 Series Cordless Vacuum Cleaner shows an error code” or check the user manual.
    2. If this does not solve the issue please remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, and then put the battery back.

    If both steps did not solve the issue, please take the appliance to a Philips service center or contact us for further assistance at http://www.philips.com/support.

    The appliance is still connected to the adapter
    Remove the appliance from the adapter before restarting it.
     
    The temperature of the appliance is too hot or too cold.
    Store and charge the appliance at a temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C.
     
    If the above solutions do not solve the issue, please take the appliance to a Philips service center or contact us for further assistance at http://www.philips.com/support.
     
    The battery is empty
    When the battery is empty, you see a flashing “00” icon on the display. To charge the battery, connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the handheld directly to the magnet on the charging station. 

     The appliance has an internal malfunction
    When your appliance has an internal malfunction, the buttons will not respond, and the screen will remain blank.
    Please connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the handheld directly to the magnet on the charging station and check the display. Once the appliance starts charging, you may continue to use the appliance as usual.
    If an error code appears on the display, you can find its meaning in the knowledge article “My Philips 8000 Series Cordless Vacuum Cleaner shows an error code” or “My Philips 7000 Series Cordless Vacuum Cleaner shows an error code” or check the user manual.

    The temperature of the appliance is too hot or too cold
    Store and charge the appliance at a temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C.

    8000/7000 Series SpeedPro Max
    The battery is empty
    To charge the battery, connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the handheld (with the battery installed) directly to the power plug of the adapter.

    The temperature of the appliance is too hot or too cold
    Use and store the appliance at a temperature between 0 °C and 35 °C and charge the appliance or battery at a temperature between 10 °C and 35 °C.
    There is an overcurrent in the appliance 
    Wait for 30 seconds before restarting the appliance.

    The appliance is still connected to the adapter
    Remove the appliance from the adapter before restarting it.

    5000 models
    The battery is empty
    When the battery is empty, the bottom segment of the display flashes red. To charge the battery, connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the magnetic charging disc of the charging station directly to the handheld.

    The temperature of the appliance is too hot or too cold
    Store and charge the appliance at a temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C.

    5000 Series SpeedPro (Aqua)
    The battery is empty
    To charge the battery, connect the appliance to the charging station or attach the handheld (with the battery installed) directly to the power plug of the adapter.

    The temperature of the appliance is too hot or too cold
    Please make sure the appliance is used at a temperature between 0 °C to 35 °C. 

    There is an overcurrent in the appliance
    Wait for 30 seconds before restarting the appliance. 

    The appliance is still connected to the adapter
    Remove the appliance from the adapter before restarting it.
