The dust bag compartment of my Philips vacuum is dirty
It is normal for your Philips vacuum cleaner's dust bag compartment to become slightly dirty. Discover how to keep your vacuum cleaner nice and clean.
The dust bag has not been installed properly
When the dust bag is not installed correctly in your Philips vacuum, the dust bag compartment could become very dirty.
Check if the dust bag is installed properly or needs to be replaced (see image below). The cover cannot be closed if no dust bag has been inserted or if the cardboard tag of the dust bag is distorted.
The dust bag is damaged
Check if the dust bag is damaged or torn. If it is, dirt will leak into the dust bag compartment.
Please replace a damaged dust bag as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your vacuum cleaner.
Suitable dust bag types for all Philips vacuum cleaners are s-bag® dust bags.
When you use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum ashes, fine sand, lime, cement dust and similar substances, the pores of the dust bag become clogged. As a result, the dust bag full indicator will indicate that the dust bag is full. Replace the disposable dust bag or empty the reusable dust bag, even if it is not full yet.
Only use Philips disposable dust bags or a Philips reusable dust bag with this appliance. Other dust bags might damage the motor of this appliance. Never reuse a disposable dust bag.
