    Published on 2019-10-30

It is important to clean and sterilize your Philips Avent sippy cups regularly and after each use. Below you will find more information on how to clean and sterilize them.

    Cleaning the sippy cup’s container

To clean the sippy cup's container, simply clean it by using mild soapy water or by using the dishwasher. Follow the steps below:

    1. Disassemble the cup
    2. If cleaning using the sink, clean the cup using a soft brush with a mild washing soap and rinse them with clean water
    3. If cleaning using a dishwasher, make sure to put the bottle on the top rack

Sterilizing the sippy cup with boiling water

Before you sterilize your sippy cup in boiling water, make sure that you thoroughly clean your cup under clean water with mild soapy water first. Once cleaned, follow the steps below:

    1. Disassemble the cup
    2. Bring plenty of water to a boil
    3. Place all parts in boiling water for 5 minutes

Note: To prevent deformation and damage, make sure that the cup and its parts do not touch each other or the side of the pan.

Note: If you have Philips Avent insulated straw cup, it is important to not boil or sterilize the bottle with a steam or microwave sterilizer. Doing this will damage the product. The insulated straw cup's cap and straw can be sterilized.
