To clean the sippy cup's container, simply clean it by using mild soapy water or by using the dishwasher. Follow the steps below:
- Disassemble the cup
- If cleaning using the sink, clean the cup using a soft brush with a mild washing soap and rinse them with clean water
- If cleaning using a dishwasher, make sure to put the bottle on the top rack
Sterilizing the sippy cup with boiling water
Before you sterilize your sippy cup in boiling water, make sure that you thoroughly clean your cup under clean water with mild soapy water first. Once cleaned, follow the steps below:
- Disassemble the cup
- Bring plenty of water to a boil
- Place all parts in boiling water for 5 minutes
Note: To prevent deformation and damage, make sure that the cup and its parts do not touch each other or the side of the pan.
Note: If you have Philips Avent insulated straw cup, it is important to not boil or sterilize the bottle with a steam or microwave sterilizer. Doing this will damage the product. The insulated straw cup's cap and straw can be sterilized.
