When should I replace the filter of my Philips Vacuum?

    Published on 20 January 2025

To find out when and how to replace the filters of your Philips Vacuum Cleaner, read our article below.

    The motor protection filter

Changing the motor protection filter and the exhaust filter

Your vacuum cleaner has two filters, a motor protection filter and an exhaust filter. To ensure optimal cleaning performance we recommend replacing both filters every year.

The motor protection filter is located behind the dust bag (see the first six images). If you remove the dust bag holder with the dust bag, you will see the motor protection filter.

The exhaust filter is located on the back (or at the bottom in some cases) of your Philips vacuum cleaner, behind a removable grille (see the last six images).
