      Honey & lime chicken stuffed with zucchini

    You can cook a whole chicken in the Airfryer! The hot air ensures that the meat is quickly sealed, so that the moisture and flavor of the chicken are retained. The chicken remains deliciously juicy. Honey and lime go very well together and give the chicken a wonderful taste.

    Servings 4 persons


    • 1 whole chicken
    • For the filling:
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 red onions
    • 1 green zucchini
    • 1 yellow zucchini
    • 1 sweet apple
    • 2 apricots
    • Fresh thyme
    • For the marinade:
    • 200 g honey
    • Juice of 1 large lemon
    • Freshly ground pepper
    • Salt


    • Chop all the ingredients for the filling into small cubes and mix with the oil in a bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Fill the chicken with the mixture.
    • Heat the Airfryer to 200 degrees C. If you have the grill pan accessory you can use this to place the chicken on, so you have more space in your Airfryer. The Viva model fits a chicken of up to 1.2 kg; the Avance model up to 1.6 kg. Place the chicken in the Airfryer and sear the meat for 5 minutes.
    • Meanwhile, melt the honey in a pan with the juice of the lemon and season it to taste with salt and pepper. Take the chicken out of the Airfryer and cover it in some of the marinade. Set the temperature of the Airfryer to 150 degrees and put the chicken back in. Open the Airfryer every 15 minutes to cover the chicken with marinade until it has all gone. After 60 minutes, the chicken will be cooked. There are two ways to check whether the chicken is cooked. Either with a meat thermometer (temperature must be 85 degrees) or by checking the color of the liquid. When cooked, the liquid will run clear and show no pink.
